Boyfriend Jeans

Here's another outfit of the day for you guys!  Today was another beautiful day...it's so pretty and sunny even though it's FREEZING cold!  We took Albi for a walk and he loves it here because everybody takes their dogs for walks there so he gets to make lots of friends!  These photos were taken in the back garden.

Today is just a lazy Sunday, my mom and I are getting ready to go shopping and she made a chunky vegetable soup for lunch...yum!  I miss my mom's cooking so much when I'm not here - I am a terrible cook.  I always have the best intentions when it comes to cooking but I never seem to get it right...either I'm too lazy or I just get fed up because nothing I make turns out/tastes good.  It's embarrassing though because both my parents were amazing cooks...I'm just spoilt I think!

What I'm wearing:

Boyfriend jeans: ASOS.com
V-neck top: H&M
Chunky scarf: Zara
Boots: Faith
Bangles: Macy's
Earrings: Forever21

I love the scarf because it's so enormous and warm...you can just wrap it around your neck so many times and it's like a big blanket!  I also love these boyfriend jeans from ASOS because they're slouchy and casual and are a refreshing change from my regular skinnies.  The boots are perfect for when it's cold as well and I love to wear them with my boyfriend jeans.

So, let me know what you think of this outfit!  What are you up to this beautiful Sunday?

Garnier Tinted Roll-On Concealer

I have dark circles under my eyes, so I'm always excited to try new products that counteract that!  I found that with this product, although it provides good coverage, the consistency is too watery for my oily skin and it was prone to sliding off my face.  I have read other great reviews on this product though, so I genuinely believe that this is due to my particular skin type.

The one thing I didn't like about this product is the fact that there are only two shades, Light and Medium/Dark.  I of course, chose shade Light as I am pale right now, however it was still too dark for me, especially since I always try to keep my concealer in a shade lighter than my foundation (because I have such dark under-eye circles).  I think I would have enjoyed this product much more if it had been in a lighter shade.

What I did love about the Garnier Roll-On is that it has a cooling effect when you apply it and I like the packaging a lot.  It reminded me a bit of the Touche Eclat by Yves Saint Laurent, which is of course a high-end product so if you're looking for a good drugstore under-eye concealer which is similar to that and you have dry or normal skin, this could be a good one to try out.  It retails at £9.99 in Boots.

Other concealers I have tried and tested include Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (totally forgot about this one in my video!!) which is amazing for covering blemishes, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat which is a good under-eye concealer but again, slightly too liquidy for my oily skin, Benefit Boi-ing which is great for completely concealing blemishes but slightly too cakey for under the eyes and my favourite of the moment, Maybelline Mineral concealer which brightens under my eyes and conceals blemishes at the same time.

Let me know what concealers you've tried and tested!  Have you tried the Garnier Tinted Roll-On?  What are your thoughts?

My Very First Outfit of the Day Post!

Many of you asked me if I would start doing "Outfit of the Day" posts on my blog...so here you go :)  As you can see I'm still working the red hair, ha ha!  Although, it's faded a lot since washing it.  It's actually three colours right now, red at the top, brown in the middle and blonde at the ends...a dark blonde which is my natural colour...weird huh?!

These photos  were taken at the harbour, where Albi likes to chase seagulls and pigeons.  How gross are those fish heads?!?!  I had to snap a picture of them, they were so gruesome.  I'm weird.

I do not live in Santana Lodge by the way, the sign just stood out to me and I thought it was pretty!

Here's what I'm wearing today:

Jacket: H&M
Top: H&M
Skirt: Esprit
Tights: Oasis
Earrings: A gift from my Bulgarian friend, Polina ;)
Bracelet: Stolen from my mother
Ring: Accessorize
Scarf: My mom gave it to me because it was more my style than hers

So...what do you guys think?  Do you like these kinds of posts?  Is this the kind of thing you'd like to see more of on my blog?  Let me know :)

A Little Uninspired

Hey guys,

I thought I'd blog a little bit because I haven't made a video in a while.  I'm sorry about that, but I've been feeling somewhat uninspired...I actually filmed a "Cleaning Out Your Closet" video yesterday (or the day before, I can't remember) and deleted it by accident!  Boo hoo!  That really sucks when that happens.  So today I meant to re-film it but I felt so annoyed and frustrated with the fact that I deleted it that I just didn't do it.  But don't worry, I will film it again and this time, it will be better!

Tomorrow, I am going to visit my sister-in-law and her partner.  This weekend we're actually going to visit my mom and sister who live in a different city and it's about a 2 and a half hour drive.  We are so lucky because Albi is amazing in the car.  He always has been, he just sleeps the whole time and he never gets sick or complains...he's great.

I'm not sure if I'll film any videos this weekend but I'll try to, so you might see me in a different setting!  Also, I'm thinking when I'm visiting my mom I will go get my hair done (again, I know).  The thing is I know the salon pretty well and they know me there so...yeah.  I'm actually going caramel brown with some blonde/golden highlights.  I'm pretty excited about it and a lot of you actually agreed with me on this one so we'll see how it turns out!

Let me know what you think about the hair idea...yay or nay?

I'm a Redhead!

Those of you who follow me on Twitter/Facebook will already know that earlier today I was contemplating dying my hair.  I feel like I'm so pale right now and my blonde hair was too light for my complexion.  I will go back to blonde eventually (that's my natural colour anyway) but for now I want to experiment a bit!  I've always been a blonde so this was a real plunge to take!  I am naturally dark/dirty blonde but my mom is a brunette so I picked up a box of Clairol Nice'N'Easy in Dark Warm Brown (eek!).  It's non-permanent so it fades after 24 washes...which is just as well, because it turned my hair RED!  I actually really like it though...I never thought of myself as a redhead but this is Bree Van De Kamp red, which I love!  I think this would look strange on me if I were tan, just as well I'm so pale!

So, what do you think?!  Let me know in the comment section...which do you prefer, blonde or red?  I don't think I'll keep it like this, just because I never planned on it but in the meantime why not have fun with it?!  And finally, what colour do you think I should go for next??  Brown?  Blonde?  What shade?  I'm thinking brown with highlights.  Let me know what your opinion is!

Jonathan's 30th Birthday

Last weekend was a really busy one for me! On Friday, my mom and little sister came to visit me because Saturday was Jonathan's 30th birthday! Here he is on the morning of his birthday, aww!

Albi got so confused when he was opening all his cards and presents, he didn't know what was going on! He wanted to open presents too!

Jonathan opening one of my presents. Can you spot Albi?!

I also drew this silly cartoon for Jonathan's study...I always scribble little drawings of him and me and give them to him but they're never properly done and always get drawn on the back of newspapers or notebooks. So I wanted to frame this so he could keep it.

I also want to point out the most expensive candle in the world to the right of the frame...oh yeah...my mom wanted to buy me a candle for my house so we were in this little boutique near where I live and she goes to pay for it and the girl is like "€22". Both of our jaws dropped!! It's kind of small too! LOL. I've never spent so much money on a candle...good thing it smells amazing! Also, it's from Positano, which is near the city my dad is from so why not.

And this is what I made Jonathan for breakfast!! It was a total surprise, because he knows what a horrible cook I am! He was so impressed! I want to say a HUGE thank you to my talented friend Charlotte, who showed me how to do this. It's basically a fried egg in a slice of toast, fried in the shape of a heart. Then I just took the cut-out heart and put it on top of the egg.

I just thought this was a cute picture.

Albi and Jonathan

At lunch with Jonathan's dad...Jonathan had happy birthday sung to him three times! Once in the morning by me and my family, then here at lunch with his dad and finally in the evening after dinner with the rest of his family and his mom.

Jonathan's sister made this amazing cake for after dinner...see the bunnies? Jonathan made a short animation with those bunnies when he was in college. This cake tasted amazing too...like a giant brownie!

And finally, I totally went behind his back and made this sneaky video asking everyone to leave him a comment on his YouTube channel. I think he got over 400 comments on his profile, it was so funny because he had no clue what was going on, his iPhone was vibrating non-stop at the restaurant! Thank you so much to everybody who played along, I really appreciate it!

Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day yesterday!

Colour Palettes

I've put together some colour palettes for you guys...these are similar to the ones I give to my clients. Find your colour palette by determining the undertone of your skin (from my previous video), hair colour and eye colour. Please note that if you are black with blueish undertones in your skin, your palette is Brunette Type 2. If you are black with golden undertones you are Type 1 or Type 3 depending on your eye colour. Also, if you are Asian, depending on whether you are cool or warm toned, you will be either Brunette Type 2 or Type 1, respectively.

If you did the colour test and turned up neutral, this just means that you can get away with wearing more colours. Take a good look at the colour palettes that you think apply to you and figure out which colours work best.
