One of my FAQs on my videos/blog has recently been, "What are you wearing on your lips??" and about 99% of the time, it's always the same lipstick/lipliner combination! I'm the kind of person who is very selective with the makeup that I buy and when I find something I like, I wear it again and again and again! Safe? Maybe. Boring? Not to me. So here's how I achieve my staple neutral pink lip:
The products I use are a Davis accent lip pencil in a rose colour (there's no number/colour indication on the pencil and I've never heard of the brand before...my friend Polina sent it from Bulgaria). I've seen similar shades by lots of different brands though, so any rose/neutral pink colour will do. I also use my favourite lipstick, Rimmel Summer Angel. It's the perfect shimmery neutral pink with a golden undertone. Below are some swatches taken both with and without flash.
These two products compliment each other perfectly and because of the shimmer in the lipstick there's no need to apply any lipgloss as it provides a natural sheen. I first line my lips with the lipliner and then fill them in very lightly. I then apply the lipstick over top and am left with this very natural, neutral pink look which is so easy to wear no matter what eye-shadows I'm wearing or what time of day it is!
Let me know what you think! You can watch the video tutorial on how I do this here. Do you have a favourite lipstick/liner combination?
