How To Dress For Work (When You Have To Wear Black!)

I promised you guys I would make this video/post about six weeks ago...and here it is!

Some of you already know that for make-up school wearing black was a requirement.  I also realise that many of you who work in an office or in retail may have to wear black all the time as well.  This can get really repetitive and you can feel like you have nothing to wear, or that you're always wearing the same thing.  I know when I worked for Estee Lauder, I had to wear black everyday and it could get so depressing.  Don't get me wrong, I love black and it's a huge part of my wardrobe because it's simple, chic and minimalist but if you run out of styling ideas or unique ways of wearing it, black can get a little boring and somewhat depressing.

So here are some fun ways of mixing things up a bit and wearing black without looking the same all the time!

Skirt - Zara (similar style by Something Else here)
Tights - ASOS
Shoes - Zara (similar style by ASOS here)
Earrings - Accessorize

Top - InWear (similar style from Bunny Hug here)
Cardigan - Mexx (similar style from Urban Outfitters here)
Jeggings - ASOS
Boots - Dune (same style with buckles here)
Earrings - Topshop (almost identical style from Miss Selfridge here)

Shorts - Gap (same style in plaid here)
Pullover - Gap (similar-ish style here)
Tights - ASOS
Shoes - ASOS
Earrings - Accessorize

I really hope you guys found this helpful...or at least enjoyed this post.  It took quite a while to do, haha!  And Albi went completely insane in the first part of my video..but I left it all in because I actually thought it was really funny watching it back!

Let me know which outfit is your favourite!  And of course, if you have any tips of your own leave them in the comment section below...I'm always happy to hear them.

Stay Stylish!
xoxo

  6. I love the first one you look so fierce eheh
I'm blonde with cool undertones to my skin, so black doesn't suit me so well if I don't wear another color with it.. like brown, blue, light pink etc So if it were me, I would go everyday to make-up school looking like Casper :P

  15. I don't know if I can even pick a favorite...maybe the last one if I was forced but I like them all. This is soo helpful too because gray is my black and I just started adding black to my wardrobe. It can be hard to wear all the time and this is a great guide! A closet tip (at least helps for me)- I intersperse gray, white or any color around the black because when it's all hanging together black is hard to see and you end up not seeing the details and just wearing the same top!

Also can I mention how insanely gorgeous you look in all these!!
