It's safe to say that on Mondays I generally feel like a total freak. I usually film a makeup tutorial, and while they're not always very dramatic, sometimes when you're wearing very casual sweats and walking your dogs it's just a little much. People tend to give me weird looks especially since I film so early in the morning so by about 10am I'm already in pretty heavy makeup. Delightful!
Anyhow, something kind of interesting happened to me today. After filming this look (it's the makeup many of you guys requested to see from Saturday night), I went shopping with my mom. While buying fabric in Hickey's the lady at the checkout asked me how I did my eyeliner. She was so sweet, and she genuinely didn't have a clue how to even begin...she told me she was going to a wedding and wanted to know how to achieve my look. She asked me what products I had used and how to get the little "wing" and I was more than happy to help her out. But all the while I'm explaining in detail how to master the art of "the flick", a little voice in the back of my head is saying "ooooor you could just tell her to watch the video............"
Little voice had a point. I had, after all JUST filmed a step by step tutorial on how to achieve that look. But I couldn't do it, I just could not bring myself to self-promote like that it just feels so weird! What do you say? "Oh, well ACTUALLY I just spent the last 2 hours preparing and filming a video tutorial all about my makeup!" Um, no. That just sounds insane. So I didn't say anything, even though I felt awful when I saw her scribbling all the products I mentioned down on a little scrap of paper. "YOU CAN JUST WATCH THE VIDEO!!!!!!" <-- shh, little voice.

I actually really love Flawless You Forever cosmetics. The mineral foundation has become my favourite foundation to date, and the lipsticks are extremely creamy and moisturising. The floral blushes are amazing, super pigmented and really pretty to look at! I can't find fault with any of the products sent to me, except that I find the lipglosses aren't as long-lasting as I would like. You can check out their website with more information on all the products I mentioned here.
