Emilia's Nursery Update

I finally finished decorating Emilia's Nursery - yay! :)
Here are some updated pictures.

Yup, her fabric E is still there!
(From Meadows & Byrne)

Shh...baby's sleeping!

We changed her bedding in her crib to match her light shade, wall decals and fabric toy bin.  All bought from Mothercare!

We finally hung her wooden pink fairy mobile...we actually ended up buying an electric one from Jellybean Group and used the base of it as the hook for her wooden one.  Now it turns and plays music which is an added bonus!

I stuck some cute pink birdy decals on the walls and got a fabric bin for her toys.  My mom got her some pink & white gingham curtains from Debenhams in the sale and I bought white rose curtain clips from Home Store & More.

Emilia has become a lot more interested in different textures, colours & shapes as well as some of her toys when we dangle them in front of her so we got her this play mat/baby gym in Mothercare!  She absolutely loves playing on it :)

Inside her closet...
Here are all the clothes she's wearing right now.  She fits 3-6 months!  I'm still looking for some pink lined wicker baskets for her shelves.  I looked for them in Dunnes Stores today and couldn't find any :(  If anyone has an idea of where to get them let me know!

You've seen this before but this is how I store all her clothes that don't fit her right now, labelled by size.  I got the clear plastic bins in Home Store & More.  I also finally got my hands on some baby hangers...good old Mothercare ;)

I hope you guys like her finished nursery!  Let me know what you think!  And you can watch the video tour here :)

Black on Black Friday

Cardigan/Selected (LoveClothing), Boots/ASOS, Jeggings/ASOS, Bracelet/Dyrberg Kern, Tank Top/Boob

Happy Black Friday to all my American readers!

I'm so jealous...I love sale shopping!  I do have two great deals to share with you guys though, if you're interested!  (The details are at the end of this post.)  This outfit is super cosy and perfect for the chilly weather...I just throw on a big scarf and I'm good to go!

Yesterday the puppies got spayed & neutered so they're all a bit sore and sad at the moment :(  Sina and Albi on the other hand are enjoying the peace and quiet for once, ha ha ha!  Here's Sina come to join me in my OOTD!  Love her!  She'll always be my baby girl ;)  She is the best sister to Emilia!

We also hosted Thanksgiving for the first time ever and it was a success!  Jonathan actually cooked a pretty good turkey, I was impressed!  I took care of the sides and my mom brought dessert.  It was such a pity that the pups didn't want any turkey :(  They were feeling too sick!

I hope you are all having a great Friday...and if you are in the US, do some sale shopping for me ;)  Here are my deals to celebrate the day!

By now the winner of my Koret handbag giveaway has been picked and notified but if you weren't lucky enough to win you can get 60% off on orders over $125 with the code HOLIDAY2012.  The offer is valid till Sunday.

Last year I did a video on how I whiten my teeth using the Whitening Lightning pen.  While I was pregnant I used their Zero White pen and I loved it!  It really helps keep your teeth white whenever they need a little boost.  Right now they are having an offer where you can buy two pens (worth $158) for $29 with the code STYLE2FOR1.

Happy Shopping!

What I Ate Wednesday!

Well hello there What I Ate Wednesday, it's been a while!

I got a lot of requests from you guys to do more of these so here's what I ate today.

Breakfast
Alpen Fruit & Nut Porridge -- this stuff is the bomb dot com!!  I love that there are raisins in it and the nuts make it so much heartier.  Topped it off with 1/2 a banana and some ground cinnamon.  Made with soy milk.  I also had a cup of Pumpkin Spice Rooibos tea from Trader Joe's...so festive!

Lunch
Lunch was courtesy of Costa Coffee.  They were out of my usual (the chicken fajita wrap) so I got the chicken salad sandwich & a black coffee!

Dinner
Yup, I do realise how unappetising that looks...ha ha ha!  What can I say...I'm no food photographer that's for sure!  Jonathan cooked us up some turkey fajitas with green peppers.  I had two of these babies.

Dessert
What day of mine would be complete without a little something sweet!  For dessert I had a blueberry muffin (these will forever remind me of the hospital -- Jonathan used to buy them for me during my stay after having Emilia!).  I also had another cup of tea...this time it's Twinings Apple, Cinnamon & Raisin.

That's pretty much it - apart from drinking about 2 litres of water throughout the day!  Oh and for exercise I walked my 6 doggies.  Trust me, that's a pretty hardcore workout!  I walk them two at a time and it takes a little over an hour.  Hope you guys enjoyed...feel free to link your What I Ate Wednesdays down below!

In The Garden

Bag/Koret, Pants/Selected, Gilet/Vila, Top/H&M, Boots/LoveClothing, Earrings/Accessorize

Happy Friday!
Let me know your thoughts on this background/location for OOTD posts...today we're in my back garden!  The light was quite nice and it actually wasn't raining for once so I thought I'd give it a shot!  Also hello random puppy who joined me for the first picture.  And no, even I have no idea who it is...ha ha ha!

I kind of went all out with the shearling today didn't I...oh well at least it keeps you toasty!  I absolutely love these pants and they are so forgiving.  They always make me feel great because a) they fit a little big around the waist which instantly tricks the brain into thinking you've lost a few pounds -- even when you haven't! ;) and b) they are a very flattering cut & rise which means they hug all the right places.  Yay!  The boots are great and super warm but unfortunately are not the most comfortable :(  Something about the leather at the bottom...it's very hard and kind of rubs off your feet when you walk.

Aaaaand here's my new Koret bag!  I loved this SO much when I got it a few months ago (before Emilia was born) but what with my lack of foresight I never realised that having a baby would mean the end of teeny tiny bags like this...or at least for as long as she's in nappies!  However as soon as I get the chance to go out sans Emilia (hint for Jonathan -- date night!), this will definitely be my number one pick.  I got the Koret Turned Out Too Clutch in sandstone.  It's made from genuine leather with gold hardware and I love the signature Koret red interior.  The reason why I showcased it in today's outfit post is because I'm hosting a Koret giveaway on my channel!  To get in with the chance to win a beautiful handbag, click here!

Good luck to all who enter and have a wonderful weekend!

Emilia's Nursery Update

I'm back!!  With a home decor post :)  Sorry it's been so long since my last blogpost but moving house with a newborn proved more difficult than I had imagined...and to top it off not having internet at our new house for the last few weeks made it pretty much impossible to blog.

Thankfully my very thoughtful hubby got me an iPad complete with a keyboard making it a lot easier for me to blog "on the go".  Today is my first time using it as we finally got internet installed at the new place...woo hoo!  So you can expect some regular posts from me from now on.  Hope you all didn't mind too much!

I thought I'd start off with a home decor post - as most of you guys know if you watch the daily vlogs, now that we've moved to a bigger house Emilia finally has a nursery!  On Tuesday I got round to organising it and getting rid of the last few boxes.  It's by no means decorated but I thought I'd share with you my progress thus far!  I'm so excited to pick up some decorative pieces for her nursery!  I have a long list of things to buy :)

Emilia's crib -- originally this was at the window but something about it didn't feel right to me when I walked into the room.  So I moved it to this wall and it instantly made the room seem so much bigger!  This room is the smallest in the house anyway, but it's the closest to our bedroom and perfect for her nursery.  When she's older she can have the second biggest bedroom but for now, this works great :)

We hung her fabric E on her door...bought from Meadows & Byrne!

Her windowsill for now -- where I put her wooden letters, dog-walking baby Barbie & a framed photo of Jonathan and me when I was pregnant in Sorrento.

The nursing glider...why we didn't buy this in a darker wood I have no idea.  This is probably my biggest regret!  :(  I don't know what I was thinking...it doesn't match with her crib at all!  I think I'm going to get a dark brown throw to put over it.  Gah!  Love the cushion though...it was a handmade gift from a viewer :)  Also her toys are waiting patiently for a toy chest, ha ha ha!

The nursery has a built in closet -- here's where I put all of her clothes that are fitting her right now.  I plan to buy baskets for each compartment/shelf.

And this is the hanging side of the closet.  I am storing all of her clothes that don't fit her in these clear plastic bins from Home Store & More.  Labels courtesy of my Brother label-maker!  I still need to buy baby hangers -- Tesco were out of the girl ones last time I checked!  She has so many clothes for a 2 month old, ha ha!

And here's what I'm currently storing in the drawer under her crib!  Lots of toiletries/cotton pads, Q-tips, teething toys, hairbrushes/combs, swaddling cloths and Water Wipes (our favourites)!

Obviously this room is a work in progress but I thought I'd share what it's like so far!  On my list of things to get are:

- Toy chest
- Baskets for closet
- Baby hangers
- Wall art for above crib
- Wall art for back wall
- Lamp/night light
- Throw for chair
- Curtain clamps

I may also paint the closet to match the crib...but am trying to decide if it's worth the hassle!  Hope you guys enjoyed this post!  And yay for being back in the blogging game!  Thanks for your patience ;)
