Cute New Outfit & The Yummiest Sandwich!

I'm so in love with Emilia's face in this picture!  She's such a little character :)  I picked up this cute little outfit for her in Boots Mini Club yesterday - I had never seen their clothing before but I was really impressed!  They have some lovely stuff & their items are good quality too.  This little striped top & navy blue leggings are size 12-18 months.  We also picked up some pyjamas and Peppa Pig wellies for Emilia's birthday party ;)

Yesterday I also went out for lunch with my mom & sisters at a new cafe called House Cafe at the Cork Opera House.  The food is simple but very good and the atmosphere is relaxed & kid-friendly so it was perfect for Emilia!  I had the most delicious mozzarella, spinach & eggplant sandwich on sourdough bread...yummy!  This was by far the best sandwich I'd had in a long time!  Emilia had a half portion of the Caprese salad (her favourite!).

I hope you're all having a good weekend!  I can't believe tomorrow it will be September...that means it's almost Emilia's 1st birthday!!

What I Ate Wednesday

Breakfast
Flahavan's Hi8 Muesli with natural organic yoghurt & 1/2 banana!  This is what I normally eat when we have no milk or porridge left in the house!

Snack
Lunch was very late today so to hold off the hunger till then I needed a little snack.  I had almonds with a cherry Go Ahead yoghurt bar...these are soooo yummy!

Lunch
Chicken & vegetable soup with a poppy seed roll for dipping!  This is so warm & comforting on days when morning (all-day) sickness is bad!

Dinner
Spaghetti carbonara!  We hardly ever eat this but it really hit the spot...the only problem is I was so stuffed afterwards :(  I have been feeling very bloated after eating meals lately so I didn't end up having anything else today.  I feel like even though my stomach is physically getting bigger it's actually getting smaller in terms of how much food I can eat in one sitting!  Hopefully this will go away soon & I will return back to feeling normal again!

Baby's First Scan & Autumn Candle Haul!

Today I did not get a chance to film as we have had a busy few days with our first OB appointment/ultrasound this morning (which dragged on as we ended up waiting for over an hour!) and my sister stayed over at our house for the past two nights.  Now that she's gone I miss her :(  It was nice having her around and both Emilia & the puppies really enjoyed her visit!

As anxious and nervous as I was before our doctor's visit, thankfully everything went very well and we got to see (not hear - yet!) the baby's heartbeat.  Phew!!  What a relief to know that all is well.  We go back in 2 weeks for another scan...I'm also unsure about my due date now because my cycle was so irregular due to the fact that I am still breastfeeding and only ever got two postpartum periods, both at very different times.  We will find out more at our next appointment!  But in the meantime I am just so happy to have seen our little bean :)  Meet Baby Saccone Joly #2!

Yesterday Erika, Emilia & I checked out the Yankee Candle Shop as I've been so jealous of all my American friends posting pictures of their autumn candles on Instagram!  Autumn is my favourite time of year (like a lot of people, apparently!) and I get so excited when I think of all these yummy warm scents, Halloween, leaves changing colour, Thanksgiving, autumn fashion & baked goodies...mmm!  These were the items I picked out from the "new scents" section, I got a large candle in Vanilla Chai along with some tea-lights & one mini candle in the same flavour.  The other scent they had on display was Salted Caramel so I picked up a mini candle and two burnt orange candle holders for our dining table.  Lastly, I bought one of the Pure Radiance Reed Diffusers in Creme Brulee which I think I will put in our downstairs bathroom.  They also had a discounted Halloween section from last year's stock which I was extremely tempted by but I have decided to wait...*sigh*  I suppose it is still only August!

Hope you're all having a great week so far!

10 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2!

Happy 10 weeks to me!  I have my first visit with the OB tomorrow along with an early scan.  I can't wait :)

How far along? 10 weeks!
Total weight gain: 2lbs total - I lost a pound this week, most likely due to the bad morning sickness :(  As of today I weigh 117.
Maternity clothes? Today I am not wearing anything maternity...as these jeans are super stretchy & low-waisted and were actually my best friend for a long time into my last pregnancy!  But otherwise, yes it's all about the maternity wear!
Stretch marks? No new ones - I was kindly sent a gift box of Mama Mio products from Cloud 10 Beauty last week so I have been using those.
Sleep: Sleep is still going well...no pregnancy insomnia yet thank god!
Best moment this week: Err...there really wasn't one - this week was pretty crappy symptoms wise! :/
Miss anything? Not really...a few days ago I would have said yes, I miss not feeling like I want to vomit all the time or my energy but the past two days have taken a turn for the better and I seem to be out of the woods (fingers crossed!!).
Movement: No...but now that I know what it feels like to experience movement in my belly I am constantly analysing every twinge or little gas bubble, ha ha ha!
Food cravings: Nachos...anything salty...savoury foods mostly!  But the odd time I do get a strong craving for fruit.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Coffee/tea is still a no-go.  Also certain smells like Jonathan's David Beckham deodorant spray make me feel like I'm going to hurl!!
Gender: I don't know!
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: The morning sickness (all-day sickness really!) and nausea was at its absolute worst this week.  It got so bad that I just ended up having to go to bed and try to sleep it off.  It felt like everytime I ate something I got this awful stomach ache where I felt uncomfortably bloated to the point where I thought I would burst.  I had tummy ache no matter what I ate and even certain smells would make me want to vomit.   The fatigue came back to bite me in the bum too!  However like I said in the past two days I seem to have gotten some of my energy back and a lot of that awful morning sickness has gone away.  I am praying it's over!!  Another thing I've noticed is that if I don't eat for a few hours I start to go completely and totally insane...I remember this soooo clearly from last time I was pregnant!  It sort of creeps up on you and all of a sudden you turn into a psycho prego monster where you feel like you will just tear down a village just to get food into you.  It's quite scary for husbands, actually.  But good thing now I know from experience to ALWAYS keep snacks in my bag!
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody!!
Looking forward to: Hearing his/her heartbeat tomorrow...I am very anxious/nervous/excited about that.

Emilia's 11 Month Update!

I can't believe another month has passed...and now I'm planning Emilia's 1st birthday party!  Where does the time go?? :(  This year has gone by so fast!

Height/Weight: She is still not due to have these measurements taken till after her first birthday...but I did weigh her this month!  She weighs 22lbs and I don't know her height/length.  We will find out after she goes for her next checkup!

Routine: I don't think her Emilia's routine has changed much at all since last month - except for the fact that it seems like she is almost ready to drop her second nap of the day (nooooo!).

Sleeping: Emilia is now sleeping through the night for the most part and is still going the whole night in her crib with the door shut & the monitor on.  If she does wake it's usually just a bad dream or she wants me to come in and comfort her but she doesn't need a feed anymore.  I generally just rock her back to sleep in the rocking chair and she settles back down after a few minutes.  In terms of naps, she takes a longer one from around 12-2/2:30pm and recently has been rejecting her second afternoon nap...it's hard during these kinds of transition periods because I never know whether it's better to put her to bed (even though she's not tired enough and clearly doesn't want to go down) or keep her awake till her proper bedtime.  The problem with putting her down for a second nap is that sometimes it gets too late by the time she finally gets to sleep and then that messes up her bedtime.  Gahh!!  It's all a learning curve, I suppose!

Eating: I am now breastfeeding twice a day, once before her first nap and once again at bedtime.  Initially I tried substituting the third afternoon feed with cow's milk but she doesn't always really want/need it so instead I've started giving her a little snack instead.  For breakfast she still usually eats porridge with banana.  She can now drink from her sippy cup by herself!  She mostly just gets water...I've never really given her juice and once she turns 1 I'll probably start giving her more cow's milk as her main drink.  For lunch she usually has cherry tomatoes, bread/toast, cucumber, tuna/chicken/ham, cheese, avocado and/or whatever else we happen to be having.  For dinner she eats whatever we're eating and for dessert she usually has a yoghurt and some fruit.  For her afternoon snack she normally gets cheese & tomato puffits and 1/2 an apple.

Sizes: Emilia is wearing mostly 12-18 months clothing (depends on the brand/item of clothing) and size 4+ nappies.

Milestones
  • She is cruising EVERYWHERE, I think she is now kind of frustrated with crawling and wants to be standing up all the time so has figured out new way of getting around.
  • She is also walking assisted by her little wooden car which she pushes around the place and sometimes she even puts a doggy friend into it and loves bringing them on little adventures too! :)
  • She started shaking her head and reacts to certain words I say like she really understands me...for example if I ask her to give me something she will do it, if I say "where are your doggy friends?" she looks at them or looks around for them.  Clever girl :)
  • From what I can see, she still has 8 full milk teeth but I can see some others coming up.  I don't know how long that will take!
  • Her new favourite thing to do is pull everything out of boxes/baskets/shelves/etc. and then proceed to put them all back or stack everything on top of each other.  I sometimes watch her empty an entire laundry basket only to put everything back in again!
  • She has stood on her own a few times but always gets freaked out and scared when she realises what she's done and either carefully sits down or grabs onto the nearest object/piece of furniture.  I'm still waiting for her to take those first steps...I can't imagine what a special moment that will be!!

That's all I can think of for now...next month will be her last update!  It's crazy to think that this time last year I was heavily pregnant and could not wait to meet Emilia for the first time...I had no idea how much I would love her.  And now I'm pregnant again and looking forward to meeting another beautiful baby :)  Life is crazy!

What I Ate Wednesday!

Breakfast
Organic quick oats with almond milk, 1/2 banana, blueberries & cinnamon!  I sometimes get comments telling me I should change my breakfast and asking me do I not get bored of eating the same thing all the time...the honest answer is, no I don't get bored because 1) I love this breakfast - in fact it's probably my favourite meal of the day! and 2) there are days when I eat something different like muesli/yoghurt or I switch up the fruit/toppings but I never feel as good as I do when I eat this.  Ultimately, I think everyone should do what works for them and not be influenced by other people's opinions or what they think! :)

Lunch
Food Doctor pitta bread with chicken, light mayo, cherry tomatoes, cucumber & lettuce.  It was a pretty light lunch as I wasn't feeling too good in the early afternoon due to nausea/morning sickness :(  It does get worse when my tummy is empty though so I have to force myself to eat something!  This was all I could stomach at the time.

Snack
A pink lady apple & babybel cheese.  I love the combination of apples/pears with cheese!

Dinner
Jonathan recreated Nando's chicken with peri peri sauce, rice, spring onions, red peppers & sweetcorn.  It was good but verrrry spicy!!

Naughty Snack
Nachos with cheese...yummy!!  I had been really craving something salty like this for so long.  I can't remember the last time we made nachos in the oven with melted cheese...but it definitely hit the spot!

That's it!  Let me know what you ate today, or link up your What I Ate Wednesdays below!

August Glossybox 2013!

Last week I received my August Glossybox!  Here's what was inside:

Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 Eyeliner and Shadow
I love the look of this stuff, it says you can use it as both a liner & shadow, it's easy to smudge and I got it in black!  I'm really looking forward to trying this out.

Oceane Makeup Remover
I had no clue what this was supposed to be when I first saw it!  It looks pretty interesting though...claiming to easily remove eyeliner from those difficult/sensitive areas.  I think this would be quite cool for travelling and like that it comes with extra brush heads.

Emite Makeup Eyelash Curler
Eyelash curlers typically FREAK me out!!  I never use them as I've always been quite blessed with naturally curled/long eyelashes (Emilia has the same I've noticed!) so I've steered clear of these my whole life.  Maybe I'll give these a go and change my mind about them...if I don't rip my lashes out in the process!!

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Concentrated Treatment
I was actually excited to get this as I've just started using this line of shampoo & conditioner!  I have naturally dry hair so I'm hoping this will help :)

UrbanVeda Daily Radiance Face Wash
This face wash contains turmeric which, from the little I know about cooking is a spice I think?!  So that peaked my interest!  I'm happy to try out another paraben free skincare item, and have been quite lucky so far with my Glossybox skincare samples.

On the whole I think this box is good - it's definitely not my favourite but last month's was amazing so I knew that would be hard to follow!  I'm most excited about the eyeliner/shadow and the keratin treatment.  I'm a little scared of the lash curlers but I will take a free pair :)  What did you think of this month's Glossybox?  Let me know in the comments below!  And if you'd like to sign up to Glossybox for £12.95 a month (incl. shipping), you can do so here!

9 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2!

Welcome to week 9!  Today I'm joined by Nivea, who decided to flop down beside me for these shots :)

How far along? 9 weeks!
Total weight gain: 3lbs total - gained one more pound this week putting me at 118lbs.
Maternity clothes? YES!! Last time it took sooooo long for me to show but this time it seems like I've popped out overnight!  My regular jeans are all so uncomfortable right now and while most of my maternity pants are a little loose I'll take comfort over feeling like a stuffed sausage anyday!
Stretch marks? No new ones - I'm actually just using cocoa butter right now.
Sleep: I'm still not having any problems sleeping yet...I would just like more sleep please!  But Emilia is back to sleeping through the night again (hallelujah!) so I can't complain.
Best moment this week: Blah...I hate this question in the first trimester!  I kind of feel like the last week is a blur of sleeping & eating.  Next!
Miss anything? Having normal amounts of energy!
Movement: Nope...but I had a crazy dream last night that there were TWO babies moving around my belly and I was like "this is too early!!!" It was really creepy!
Food cravings: I find myself craving savoury and salty foods...and I know to this everyone is going to scream "BOY!!!" but I don't know...I remember last time it was oranges (sweet) but then I got a weird craving for Ploughman's cheese sandwiches (savoury) too so who knows!  This time around I definitely get the sandwich craving again but also things like tortilla chips & guacamole (???) which we never have in the house.  This led to a totally bizarre session wherein I grabbed a bag of popcorn (only salty thing I could find in the cupboard) and proceeded to plop little dollops of guacamole onto each kernel & eat them one by one.  It really didn't even taste that good...ha ha ha!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Coffee/tea, and I have awful morning sickness right when I wake up and my stomach is empty.  In fact it gets worse whenever I haven't eaten in a while so I should probably try to eat more frequently throughout the day.  It's just hard when I feel so nauseous! :(
Gender: I don't know!
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: Nausea/morning sickness, fatigue (though that has gotten a little bit better this week).  My gums stopped bleeding and my boobs have gotten smaller (total opposite of last time!) since I've decreased breastfeeding.  I know most women would be upset...I am over the moon!!  Mine got so huge and inflated during the height of breastfeeding, that I looked so disproportionate.  Right now I'm very happy with the way they are!
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Not as moody as last week - but definitely still a little bit.  I'm just holding on for the 2nd trimester!!
Looking forward to: Ultrasound next week :)

What I Ate Wednesday!

Breakfast
Organic porridge with almond milk, 1/2 banana, strawberries & cinnamon!  We had some tiny strawberries in the fridge so I decided to switch from my usual blueberries...ha ha ha :)  This was actually pretty good!

Lunch
My mom made pasta salad which she brought over last night so that I could have it the next day...it was delicious!  She used casarecce, fusilli, and farfalle and made it with prawns, peas, cherry tomatoes and flat leaf parsley...probably some olive oil and I think I tasted garlic as well but I might be wrong.  Either way it was yummy!

Snack
Emilia & I ended up having a late snack as we didn't have dinner till later on in the evening...we both had nectarines & I had mine with natural yoghurt.

Dinner
We ordered Chinese for dinner & I got veggie chow mein which I shared with Emilia!  We hardly ever get Chinese but when we do I always order this...I remember reading in the book Skinny Bitch that it's one of the healthier takeout options!  (I don't know if that's actually true...but it always makes me feel better, ha ha ha!)

That's it for today!  I was really full after dinner and didn't feel much like dessert...other than that I drank water and took my prenatals.  What did you eat today?  Feel free to link up your WIAW in the comments below :)

Beauty Tip Tuesday: Updated Skincare Routine

Sorry this is a day late, I had actually written this yesterday but forgot to post!

Today I filmed a video on my updated skincare routine.  Since finding out I'm pregnant, I cut out any harsh products with either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide and instead have taken a more natural route.  These products are not all natural/organic but they are certainly a lot gentler on my skin.  I am experiencing some hormonal acne (which there's not much I can do about unfortunately!) but otherwise my skin has been good...especially in my T-zone area which was always the most prone to breakouts.  Here are the products I'm currently using:

L'Occitane Angelica Cleansing Gel
I use this morning & night - about two to three pumps is enough!

 L'Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream
I also use this morning & evening.  I love the smell of this line and both products leave my skin feeling soft & clean.

Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator
I've been using this before my moisturiser in the mornings, to prime my face.  It makes my pores look smaller & my skin feel a lot smoother before I apply my makeup.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
I've started using this at night after hearing so many rave reviews about it.  I don't think I've been using it long enough to see any real difference yet but I like how it makes my skin feel after so I'll continue using it for now!

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover
Prior to this I had been using makeup removing wipes which aren't that good for your skin.  Now I use this to take off my eye makeup with cotton pads & it is a lot gentler!

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I love this stuff - I slather it all over my face every night to take off my face makeup.  It leaves my skin feeling super soft & hydrated, not greasy or oily at all.  It also smells lovely...a very luxurious product!

Have you tried any of these products and if so, what do you think of them?  Do you have any skincare tips & tricks you'd like to share?  Leave them in the comments below!

I'm Pregnant Again!! + 8 Week Bump Update

Some of you have probably already guessed it but yes, it's true...I am pregnant again!!  We are expecting little Baby Saccone Joly #2 on March 24th 2014!  I found out three weeks ago and actually wanted to wait longer to announce it but last time we did it at 8 weeks and I felt like I owed it to everybody...plus a lot of people already had it figured out anyway.  I think with a daily vlog it is virtually impossible to hide anything - what with being sick, going to the doctor's, the low blood pressure, etc. etc. I guess it was kind of obvious!

So Emilia is going to be a big sister and she will be 1 and a half when he/she gets here!  We are so excited and happy...initially I did not think I was pregnant because I took a test in the bathroom of a restaurant when we were in Sorrento after feeling extremely nauseous and like I was going to be sick/pass out...it was negative!  However this was in the evening and the pharmacist had told me to take it in the morning (bad girl!), otherwise it was just too early to tell.  But when we arrived home Jonathan just had a feeling and convinced me to take another test that we happened to have in our medicine cupboard so I did...the positive result showed straight away!  I was so emotional...I am still breastfeeding so I wasn't sure if I would be able to have babies so close together like I wanted.

Anyway, I can't believe we are doing weekly bump updates again!  I feel like I have deja vu!

How far along? 8 weeks (my weeks change over on a Monday, just like last time...weird right?!)
Total weight gain: 2lbs...ish.  When I got back from Italy I was quite a low weight of 114.8 which I believe is probably from being sick and the low blood pressure, etc.  I do generally feel my best and most normal weight is 115-120lbs.  So I'm just going to say 115 was my starting weight as I think 114 is too low for me!  Right now I'm happy to report that I weigh a healthier 117lbs which was actually my starting weight when I had Emilia so that makes me feel a lot better!
Maternity clothes?  Not yet!  But I do feel like I'm probably going to need them a lot sooner this time!
Stretch marks?  No new ones...yet :)  Though I'm pleased to say that my bellybutton stretch marks that I got when I was pregnant with Emilia seem to have faded nicely!
Sleep: I honestly feel like I am sleeping ALL THE TIME.  I am so tired & fatigued that I can't physically get through the day without at least one nap!  My sleep has unfortunately been quite interrupted though as Emilia has been waking in the night almost every night lately :(  I don't know why, she was doing so well and now it seems we've hit a little road bump.
Best moment this week: Probably Emilia walking on the grass outside our house assisted by her little wooden car.  That was so cute :)
Miss anything?  My energy...can I have it back please?!  I can't wait to feel normal again!  My skin being good & breakout free like it was in Sorrento!  And my full nights' sleep!
Food cravings: Not really.  The only thing I will say is that I've been gravitating towards healthier foods lately rather than unhealthy ones.  I don't know is that just my body's way of telling me something!
Anything making you queasy or sick?  Yes!  Everything :(  I have been feeling really sick lately...and just like last time the mere thought of drinking coffee makes me want to hurl!
Gender: I have no idea...but I would definitely be happy with either :)
Labour signs: No!
Symptoms: Extreme fatigue, nausea/morning sickness/whatever you want to call it, hormonal acne, bleeding gums (don't remember that from last time!) and I am almost always thirsty for water!
Belly button in or out?  In!  It never popped out last time even though I was kind of waiting for it to!
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: I'm happy to be pregnant and I feel so grateful but at the same time the nausea & tiredness has been making me super moody :-/
Looking forward to: Our first scan in two weeks!

That's it for week 8!  I still can't believe I'm really pregnant...I think I'll feel a lot better once we see him/her in the ultrasound & hear the heartbeat!  Want to compare my bump pics from last time's?  Click here to see my 8 week bump update with Emilia :)

Fashion Friday: Puppy Love!

Today's outfit is brought to you by Sina Socks! :)  No matter what, she will always be my first baby girl!  I'll never forget what we've been through together...I think we share such a special bond - we both got pregnant around the same time and I witnessed her giving birth to FIVE puppies - I remember looking on in awe and complete admiration, thinking 'if she can do this five times over I can do it once!'  I know it sounds silly but she was a huge inspiration to me going through my whole pregnancy & labour process...prior to this I was extremely nervous and scared about the entire thing but watching Sina go through it first gave me reassurance that this is a completely natural part of life - and us girls are capable of anything!  I don't care if anyone thinks I'm crazy...but my dog is totally my pregnancy hero ;)

Onto my outfit!  I'm wearing a plaid shirt from Heaton's (bought about 2 years ago), white nursing tank top from Boob, skinny jeans from Zara (bought a few years ago on a clearance rack) and the comfiest shoes in the world from New Look (these were also very cheap...like €5).  My gel nails are still going strong - no more chipping aside from the thumb I mentioned in my previous post, on my lips is Sleek's Pout Paint in Minx and my hair is just in a pony tail because I've been too tired/sick to be bothered styling it lately!
Happy Friday to all of you, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Throwback Thursday!

This week's throwback is from back in 1998 when I was 10 years old and holding my baby sister Erika!  Doesn't she look so like Emilia?!  I honestly did a double take when I first saw this picture because it's almost creepy how alike they are!  It's like I'm holding my future daughter only I'm 10 years old...ahh!!  Weird!  This was taken on our summer holiday in Sligo the year Erika was born...I think it was in August so she would have been 7 months old.  She was so cute!  And I love how I'm representing the Irish in my aran jumper...ha ha ha!

I'm Back & What I Ate Wednesday!

I'm back!!  Sorry about the short hiatus from both my blog & YouTube channel but if you watch the daily vlogs you'll probably already know that I've been feeling very sick this past week.  Today was the first morning I woke up feeling almost like myself again...so I thought I'd ease back into things with a WIAW! :)  Hope you enjoy!

Breakfast
Same ol' same ol' - Flahavan's Organic Quick Oats with almond milk, 1/2 banana, blueberries & cinnamon.  Yum :)

Lunch
We got lunch from our trusty Gogo's and this time I got my favourite sandwich, the Ardsallagh goat's cheese & homemade guacamole on an onion bagel.  This is delicious!!  I think I'm actually going to have them cater Emilia's 1st birthday party because their food is so good!

Dinner
Jonathan and I made this together - it's "Pregnant Jool's Pasta" from Jamie Oliver's 30 Minute Meals cookbook.  It turned out amazing!  It's made with sausage, tomato, chilli peppers, carrot, celery & basil...and it is absolutely delicious!  Jonathan loved it because of the meat & I loved it because of the pasta, Emilia just loved it in general but she loves everything :)

Dessert
So I know I'm usually not this healthy when it comes to dessert but for some reason I just wasn't craving anything sugary sweet tonight.  I actually started making this for Emilia and then thought it looked really good so made it for myself too!  It's just a Pink Lady apple chopped up with organic whole milk yoghurt & some cinnamon on top.  Surprisingly enough this tasted really yummy just like dessert, only much healthier :)

For drinks I just had water...no coffee or tea as I haven't been feeling like it lately!  That's it - let me know what you had or feel free to link up your What I Ate Wednesdays in the comments below!

Fashion Friday: Turquoise & Black!

Today is showery and changeable but the sun's coming out and I'm refusing to give into my autumn/winter wardrobe just yet!  So I paired up this bright turquoise Vero Moda top that I got in Sorrento with my black ASOS jeggings & LoveClothing ballet flats.  Accessories are pretty simple and the same as always...gold scorpio necklace, Orelia hoop earrings & my Alex & Ani birthstone bracelet (not seen here).  On my lips I'm wearing Rimmel's Airy Fairy lipstick.  I curled my hair with my GHD for a change and I'm not sure if I'm loving it...I think I need a trim/tidy-up anyway!

A little update on my Red Carpet Manicure nails!  Well, one of my thumbs did chip...which I was annoyed about but to be completely honest I put that down to bad application being that it was one of the first fingers I painted and I went over the nail bed & onto the skin.  After a day or two that started to peel off which took a little chunk of polish off the nail with it.  Having said that, the rest of my nails are all perfect...including the other thumb!  So aside from one little chip we are looking good at almost a week later.

Hope you all have a great weekend! :)

Throwback Thursday!

This week's throwback pic was taken when I was about 3 or 4, when we lived in Baltimore.  I had really curly white blonde hair when I was little, and before that I was COMPLETELY bald...Emilia's hair has always been more like Erika's was when she was her age!  Let me know what other kind of throwback pics you'd like to see!

What I Ate Wednesday!

Breakfast (10:30am)
Organic porridge oats with almond milk, apple slices, blueberries & cinnamon!  I had this along with my usual black coffee & two glasses of water.  I've been adding apple to my porridge recently instead of banana and I really like the combination of flavours!  It tastes a bit like an apple crumble :)

Lunch (2:30pm)
Today is a horrible, rainy & quite miserable day so some comfort food was needed!  For lunch we all had tomato & basil soup (Cully & Sully - our fave) and I had mine with 1/2 a bagel dipped in.

Coffee Break (4:30pm)
This was my 2nd coffee of the day...I just take mine black!  I used to have it just after lunch but now I've found I enjoy it more if I have it later in the afternoon.  We drink Cork Coffee Roasters or Lavazza coffee by the way :)

Dinner (7:30pm)
Spinach & ricotta tortellini with mascarpone sauce!  Soooo good!  I normally pick a different sauce just to make it a little healthier but Jonathan loves this one...oh well ;)

Evening Snack (around 9:30/10pm, I can't really remember!)
Later last night I met with my two other mommy friends for a girls' night in and got served this gorgeous frothy, milky latte in a pretty pink cup!  I also had one of those fruit & oat biscuits but I forgot to take a pic...sorry :/

I tried really hard to drink lots of water during the day but in all honesty I probably got about 6 glasses total.
