Sweet Sunday: Early Christmas Dinner (Blogmas Day 14)

This weekend we had an early Christmas dinner as it's a tradition in Jonathan's family to get everyone together a little earlier in December for a big meal. Everybody has families of their own now, so spending Christmas Day together sadly isn't possible! This year it was our turn to host and was amazingly stress-free thanks to Cook Food! We got their Christmas Lunch for 8 people which was a huge hit but the "pudding" as they call it here was the cherry on the cake, if you'll pardon the pun.

This show-stopper dessert is their Double Chocolate Bombe which consists of chocolate mousse, cream, chocolate sponge and a toffee/raspberry surprise middle. We served it with sparklers just like it's advertised on the website and it made the perfect ending to our festive feast!

We also had a second option (because you can never have too many desserts, let's be honest!) which was my personal favourite as I'm not a huuuuge chocolate fan but I do love cheesecake and anything white choc. This is the White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake and it was mouth-wateringly delicious...OMG. I'm drooling just thinking about it. And yes, it is appetisingly plonked in front of a steriliser and two baby monitors for this photo because as you can see I have a wonderful eye for these things. It's a wonder I'm not a food stylist, really!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

xoxo
