Last Day in New York!

Today was our last full day in New York. :( We are so sad to leave this beautiful city! We had such an amazing time and made some wonderful memories here...I will always remember New York as the place that I celebrated my 28th birthday, the children's second Halloween together and the announcement of my jewellery line. These are the things that made this holiday all the more special!

One thing we definitely did a lot of here was walking. We walked a LOT, so hopefully now that I think of it that will balance out all the eating because we did a lot of that too! Today we did a little bit of shopping and stopped outside the New York City Library for a very romantic photo...aww :) Aren't we sweet?! I also unfortunately packed way too warmly for this trip as it is boiling here compared to what I expected! I think I was expecting winter wonderland, whereas instead it feels like spring. I was sweating in this wooly jumper and leather leggings (seriously, what was I thinking?!). This moss green jumper was a recent purchase from Gestuz and the leggings are by Michael Kors. My suede wedge boots are from Whistles (totally impractical choice for walking around NY!) and the scarf is from Accessorize. My bag is by Prada and was a birthday present.

One of the highlights of today was definitely this mind-blowingly amazing bagel. I mean...look at it - this is the stuff of dreams!! (Well, my dreams anyway!) This wonderful creation is from The Bagel Store and our friend Radhika somehow managed to bag us a couple to try. (Which involved queuing up for 2 and 1/2 hours...they are popular indeed!) I had a pink and purplish blue bagel with funfetti cream cheese. It felt like a party in my mouth...and my stomach...and my brain. I was so excited I almost wanted to cry!! And I ate the whole thing. Quicker than most people took their first bite. I will genuinely dream about this bagel probably forever...if you live in New York YOU HAVE TO TRY ONE!

  13. Ah New York is one of my dream places, I'm hoping to go there for my 18th. I have two years left to save for shopping!! If I do go, I'd love to hear any recommendations of restaurants. And happy belated birthday and a massive congratulations on your jewellery line! This is so exciting and I'm so happy for you. I can't wait to get my hands on the Virgo one, me and Emilia will be twinning haha.

Those bagels look amazing, I completely understand you dreaming about those! I am desperate to have one of them in my life! And onto the Bucket List they go!

I really love your blog Anna and all of your posts are so well written, it's seriously blog goals!!

I recently started blogging so I'm very new to it and would really appreciate if you, Anna, or anyone else who sees this comment could check it out? It's still a work in progress but I'm getting there, slowly but surely. :)

Oh and Anna, I remember a while ago you did a video and I think a blog post about how you wash your makeup brushes. I was just wondering if you still do it the same way and how you maintain a long, healthy life for your brushes? Thanks xxx

  19. New York is definitely a walking city. My phone tracked my steps for the 4 days we were there and we walked 10 miles each of the 4 days. The only other transportation we used was the subway, which meant having to walk to find a station when it was time to go somewhere else. Glad you had a great trip! I can't wait to bring my kids there some day. Was it easy getting around with a double stroller (other than Halloween night)?

  20. I live in Boston and our weather is pretty similar here as in New York. It's so hot. Normally in November it is cold and rainy and gross. You guys really lucked out for your trip!

  21. Glad you had a nice time, New York is probably one of my favourite places on Earth! The weather's weird though, when I went just after Christmas it was colder than England! Seriously, haha. That bagel looks incredible, can't believe we never went there! At first glance, I thought it was a doughnut. You two look really sweet in that photo, and love your outfit - glad you had a nice time, and Happy Belated Birthday!
