Makeup Tutorial: Pretty in Pink!

This makeup is a very girly, flirty and pretty look featuring my favourite colour - PINK! :)  It also kind of reminds me of a pinup Barbie, hahaha!  I achieved this whole entire look using mostly Sarah G Cosmetics, which is my friend Sarah's new makeup line.  I am so happy for her success with her boutique, Rodeo Drive Boutique and now her own cosmetics line and I really wanted to share some of her products with you guys!

FACE:
Starting off with a bare moisturised face, I applied Sarah G Mineral Tinted Face Primer with a foundation brush.
This comes with a pump applicator which I really liked, and is very silky in texture.  It's a sheer base but I imagine it could be used on its own if you were having a good skin day (I wasn't...hahaha!).  It evens out my skin tone nicely and prepares the base for my foundation, which brings me to the next step:

I then applied Sarah G Oil-Free Foundation in the shade Wheat all over my face with the same foundation brush.
On first glance the shade looks very light, but in fact it blended perfectly into my skin-tone and was a great match!  My face is a little lighter than my body right now, as I use a higher SPF in my moisturiser.  I love the natural appearance of this foundation and the fact that it's oil and fragrance-free!

I applied some of my Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes.  I then filled in my eyebrows with The Body Shop Boho Beauty Palette matte light brown eyeshadow and contoured my face using The Body Shop Bronzing Powder in the shade Medium

To complete the face makeup, I applied a dusting of Sarah G Pixie Blush in Crushed Velvet to my cheeks.
It's a mauve/soft lavender/pinkish shade with plenty of shimmer and luminosity, so it gives the cheeks a beautiful fresh glow!  I quite like shimmery blushes although I prefer my bronzers matte so depending on your taste this may or may not work for you.  With this blush you will not need to apply a highlight to your cheekbones, otherwise I think it might be a little OTT!  You can clearly see how pigmented it is from the picture below!
EYES:
I primed my eyelids with Sarah G Anti-Oxidant Eye Base with Sunscreen.  This helps my eye makeup to stay in place throughout the whole day.
This is quite thick and paint-like in texture and also helps the shadows' colours show up very well on the skin!

I then applied a wash of Sarah G White Gold Eyeshadow to my entire lid, using a fluffy brush.
This just gives an all-over shimmer to the lids without looking like too much.  Because this is more of a liner look, I didn't want to overdo it with the shadows.  However Sarah sent me two eyeshadows in total, White Gold and Iced Malted which is a shimmery taupe/grey.
Here are the shadows swatched.  I also like using both of these in a smokey eye look (which I'm actually wearing right now!) which involves smudging Iced Malted along the upper and lower lashline.  Both are pigmented and stay on all day.

To achieve the cat-eye effect I applied a thick line of Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Gel Liner to the top lids, and a tiny amount of black kohl pencil to the outer corners of the lower waterline, winging it out and upwards joining the gel liner to create a dramatic flick.

I finished it off with a coat of Sarah G Super Lash Brown Mascara to top and bottom lashes.  This was featured in my June Favourites post!
Probably my favourite product of the bunch, this both lengthens and volumises the lashes without transferring or flaking off during the day.
LIPS:
To match up with the cheeks, I applied Sarah G Pink Shimmer Lipstick and Sarah G Lilac Mist Lipgloss on top.
Both of these products are very pigmented and long lasting.  The lipstick contains a lot of shimmer and the gloss is creamier in texture so they compliment each other well.  This completes the whole look!
