Week 20 Bump Update & Gender Reveal!

Watch my 20 Week Pregnancy Vlog here!

How far along? 20 weeks and half way through my pregnancy!  I can't believe it!
Total weight gain: 1lb (128lbs) this week, for a total of 11lbs from pre-pregnancy!  I am still right on track according to this tracker, yay! :)  I took measurements quickly on Saturday and they were different from this morning...ha ha ha!  I think that's because my stomach tends to grow as the day goes on (it looks bigger in the evening than it does when I first wake up!  So right now my waist is 29" which is 1" up from last week (yay!) and my tummy is about 34 3/4 - 35...depending on the time of day, ha!
Maternity clothes? I still haven't received my maternity bras from Motherhood but they are being shipped from the States so I'm not worried...they will probably arrive in the next week or so.  I had fully planned on going shopping for maternity clothes this weekend BUT our plans suddenly changed because of something really exciting that happened ;)
Stretch marks? Still none to report!  This week I actually purchased Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Cream for Stretch Marks, which is NOT the same as the regular one!!  I did not realise this until I bought it.  I do like it for a lot of different reasons but the smell is gross!  I much prefer the smell of the regular stuff but I will continue using it for now.  I've also still been using Fairhaven Health Dream Belly Butter at night.
Sleep: I slept really well all week, it was blissful :)  I am still using Brenda, my DreamGenii pillow and I love her!!  Plus the pups are sleeping through the night now and Sina tends to look after them all herself so there's no need to keep checking on them anymore.  I have had a couple of crazy dreams this week but nothing too scary!
Best moment this week: Um, finding out the gender of our baby!!!  That was probably one of the best days of my life, we were SO happy :)
Miss anything? Not really.  Occasionally smoked salmon but not as much as last week.
Movement: I possibly felt movement this week but I'm really not sure!  It was late at night when we were watching TV and I felt a sharp little crampy feeling in my upper tummy which actually took me by such a surprise that I stopped mid-sentence while talking to Jonathan.  Then it happened again in a different spot, and again in another.  So...was that it?!  Who knows!!
Food cravings: None!  I have been eating lots of red grapes & kiwis though!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Shrimp/seafood in general.  My mom started telling me about this Rachel Allen recipe involving squid this weekend and I usually love squid but while she was explaining how it was cooked & everything I honestly thought I was going to hurl...ughhhhh!!!  So weird, ha ha!
Gender: It's a................

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Ahhhh!!!!!  I was wrong!!!!  We were SO surprised when we found out, and it was totally by chance because we didn't think we would even get a gender ultrasound this week but Jonathan called the clinic on Saturday to see if we could get an earlier appointment (the appointments they gave us were 1 and 2 weeks away) and she said to come in right then!  You guys know I TOTALLY believed it was a boy, and even though I've always wanted a girl I just felt convinced that this was a boy and I started to prepare myself mentally for that.  I didn't even look at girls' clothes or nursery decor, my mind was completely focused on blue...lol.  Also the more I thought about it the more I got excited about having a little boy (and I would still love to have one if it's on the cards for us, someday in the future ;)  But the minute the ultrasound technician said girl my mind exploded with happiness, ha ha ha!  Now I'm so excited to start buying PINK & cute little outfits & dresses...ahhh!!!!  And I'm SO ecstatic that I'll have a best friend to go shopping with & teach about fashion & makeup and all the things I like!  (Let's face it, I don't know much about football...ha ha!)  If you haven't already watched it, you should definitely check out our Gender Reveal video here.  It shows the moment we found out at the scan and also how we revealed it to my mom & our family members!
Labour signs: No.
Symptoms: Bigger boobs, hormonal acne, possibly some movement/cramping/gas/not sure!!
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Shopping for our baby girl!!

Can you tell how excited I am to be having a girl?!  Ha ha :)

Stay Stylish!
