Festival Glam | July Glossybox 2012!

Watch my July Glossybox video here! :)

Hey guys!  Here's what I got in my "Festival Glam" July Glossybox!  This month's box was all about festival beauty essentials which actually suits me very much seeing as all these products could work equally well for my hospital bag, ha ha ha! :)

HD Brows Eye & Brow Palette in Vamp
Yay!!  I was so happy to find this in my box as I absolutely love the last HD Brows palette and am still using it in the shade ash brown.  These shades seem to be a bit darker (the two brown ones) so we shall see how it fares with my colouring!

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting in Irish Cream Pavlova
Can you say YUM?!  This is right up my alley...anything sweet or dessert themed when it comes to makeup or cosmetics always tickles my fancy :)

Clynol Salon Exclusive Enrich Colour Shampoo
I do highlight my hair so am curious to see how this goes.  It's also a nifty size for travel which could come in handy!

Monu Golden Glow
This actually looks really cool!  I have always like the Monu products I've gotten in previous Glossyboxes, but this one is a face & body bronzer which is supposed to develop a natural looking tan in 3-5 hours.  I might use this on my face only, seeing as I'm quite happy with how Dove Summer Glow works on my body!

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion SPF 15
I don't think I've ever tried any Elizabeth Arden products aside from their 8 hour cream before.  This looks really interesting!  It's an oil-free skin balancing lotion for combination skin which protects against UVA & UVB rays.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Line
The last "bonus product" was actually three different samples from this skincare line.  I got the Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser, the Optimizing Skin Serum and another little sample of the Skin Balancing Lotion SPF 15.  I think this is a good way to try out a whole other skincare regimen without breaking the bank!

Overall I'm really happy with July's Glossybox and I'm especially excited about the HD Brows palette and the Jelly Pong Pong lip frosting!  Here's my mini-review on the products I received in the June Glossybox:

Glossybox Serie Exclusiv Pro Beauty Brush
I have read a few bad reviews about this brush but I actually liked it!  Not for the precision or technique or anything...I just thought it worked perfectly for exactly what I wanted -- my handbag!  I use it alongside my powder to touch up during the day.  It doesn't shed and does the job!

HD Brows Precision Tweezers
Really impressed with these.  They are super sharp though, so use with caution if you're a first-time plucker!  But they look super sleek & professional and really get every single little hair out! I think they work even better than my pink Tweezerman ones!

BM Beauty Summer Warmth Bronzer
I have to say I dislike the packaging of these BM Beauty Samples.  There is too much product in there for such a small tub, making it so difficult to use!  The product just spills out everywhere and gets very messy :(  However the bronzer was nice and I probably would have used it more if the weather were sunnier here as it's quite shimmery and gives you a sunkissed glow!

Green People Sun Lotion SPF15 with Tan Accelerator
Didn't even open this...being that it's officially the WORST summer ever for Ireland, I don't think anyone can really blame me!

Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick
This blew me away!  I seriously am so impressed with it, though I used it as a concealer more so than a foundation.  It definitely does blend and cover all imperfections amazingly well...even hyperpigmentation, acne scars, pimples, blemishes and bad undereye circles (which I unfortunately do have!).  I ended up using the shade Nude, which matched my skin tone perfectly.  This really is a winning product and if I could find Vichy make-up available near where  I live I probably would purchase the full size version.  You definitely need to set with powder after using this though as it's a cream stick foundation/concealer so without it I would look a little shiny on my t-zone area.  (I do have oily/combination skin.)

If you'd like to sign up to Glossybox you can do so for £12.95 a month here.  They do ship to Ireland and now also to the US.  If you do subscribe to Glossybox and you also received this box, let me know what your thoughts are!  As always, I would love to hear from you guys :)

Stay Stylish!
