In yesterday's Colour Theory video, a lot of you made some very kind comments on my "flawless" skin. First of all let me tell you that I do not have flawless or perfect skin! My skin type is oily/combination so it is prone to oily patches in the t-zone, break-outs and most of the time, my skin is not very smooth especially in the forehead area. So having cleared up that myth, let's move onto the reasons why my skin looked good in yesterday's video!
I always sit in front of my window, with a dark background behind me (I close the door so no other light shines through). Natural "white" daylight is the best lighting for make-up and photography too so this creates a more flattering light across my face. This also explains why I always take my Outfit of the Day pictures in the sunroom!
The day before I filmed this video (Sunday), I had actually gotten a mini-facial! As I think I said in my last outfit post, we all gave each other a facial in class as part of our training. My skin felt amazing after and is almost completely clear at the moment. I will make a skincare video/post about the mini-facial and the products used etc. sometime further on.
These pictures were taken yesterday after filming and I actually changed up my day make-up a little bit. Here's what I'm wearing in the order which I applied them:
Concealer: Benefit Boi-ing
Concealer: (under-eye) Benefit Erase Paste
Powder: Benefit Get Even
Contour: Benefit Hoola
Blush: Kiko Dreams in Soft Sand
Highlight: Benefit 10
Eyeshadow: Bourjois Blanc Diaphane (lid colour) and Pupa Mineral Silk #7(crease)
Eyeliner: Maybelline Line Definer (top) and Impala Waterproof Eyeliner (bottom)
Mascara: CoverGirl LashBlast Volume
Lipstick: Golden Rose Perfect Shine #213 (yes I changed my lipstick!!! LOL!)
So let me know what you think...do you like this look?
