My little sister Erika and I filmed a video together when she slept over last weekend! A lot of you had asked me to share Erika's makeup routine/favourite products with you, so we decided to show what's in her travel makeup bag!
Here is a breakdown of the products she uses the most and takes with her everytime she travels:
1. Nivea Visage Cleansing Lotion
She has both the 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner and the Pure & Natural Cleansing Lotion. She uses these to cleanse in the mornings and take off makeup at night.
2. Maybelline Pure Cover Mineral Concealer
She has two shades of this, Sand and Natural (#2 and #3). This is what she uses to brighten up her undereye area (she has dark circles like me!) and conceal any blemishes. I love that she doesn't use foundation...in my opinion at 13 you don't need it!
3. Rimmel The Max Volume Flash Waterproof Mascara
This is her favourite volumising mascara that lasts all day. I also own this (the regular one) and think it's one of the best drugstore mascaras out there.
4. Rimmel Kohl Pencil Eyeliner
Erika actually had two of these in her makeup bag (she clearly takes after me...hahaha!) and likes both this one and the Natural Collection black pencil liner. They are long-lasting and don't transfer or bleed throughout the day.
5. Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadow
She wears this in White Opal. I used this on both her and her friend when they came over to get their makeup done before a night out, and I was really impressed with the quality. It's very pigmented and a pretty highlight colour. She uses this all over the lid with liner for a natural daytime look.
6. GOSH Light 'N Shine Lip Glaze
Erika owns the purple gloss, and it looks amazing on her! It's super sparkly and pigmented plus the packaging is pretty cool...it's equipped with LED lights and a mirror.
7. Harajuku Lovers Baby Perfume
This is Erika's favourite perfume. According to her it smells like baby powder :)
8. NYC Cheek Glow in Central Park Pink
This is a product that she rarely uses...in fact Erika hardly wears any face makeup but on special occasions she'll wear blush and bronzer. This is a not so pigmented blush which I feel is appropriate for her age because it doesn't look too scary when you first put it on! (In other words...it's not very good ;) But for teens and the cheap price it's fine.
9. NYC Sun-Sational Mineral Bronzer
Erika applies this to her forehead, nose, cheekbones and jawbone for a light, summery bronze glow. It's quite easy to use and doesn't make you look orange!
So those are her favourites...to check out the video we made complete with "awkward" bloopers (literally), click here! :)
