Beauty Tuesday: January Favourites!

Here are my favourite products of January 2013!

I discovered a lot of great hair products last month.  First off I switched my shampoo & conditioner as I was finding the Bedhead Dumb Blonde range was making my hair feel very gummy after they changed their packaging/formula.  I'm not sure what went wrong as it used to be my all-time favourite!  Anyway I picked up some Aussie Luscious Long Shampoo and the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Luscious Long Deep Treatment.  I had heard amazing things about Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle products but never tried anything by the brand before.  This was my first time using them and I'm pleased to report that it works like a charm!  My hair is so soft, smooth and silky...I have been receiving compliments on how healthy it looks and I love how it makes my hair feel!  The first time I used it I couldn't stop touching it after!

Another product I've been enjoying is the Milk_Shake Conditioning Whipped Cream which I received in my December Glossybox.  This stuff smells delicious!!  It looks like real whipped cream and is like dessert for your hair.  You use it after getting out of the shower on damp hair, then blow-dry/style as normal and it keeps it moisturised, feeling silky and tames frizzies!
I also picked up the Batiste Big & Bouncy XXL Volume Dry Shampoo and it has quickly become one of my must-have hair products!  I hate flat hair and am forever looking for the magical product which will give my hair more volume...I think I may have found it!  Not only will this refresh your roots on day 2/3 hair, it also gives you that sexy tousled bedhead look without any backcombing or effort!

This is how my hair looks today - day 2 hair with no styling/hot tools and just a little Batiste XXL dry shampoo at the roots to give it some body!

A couple of skincare products also made the list - the first of which I mentioned in my recent skincare post.  The Avon Clear Skin Professional Deep Pore Cleansing Scrub with salicylic acid has helped keep acne and spots away which I'm naturally very thankful for!  It's very cooling with little blue micro-beads in it that lightly exfoliate the face leaving your skin very clean-feeling afterwards.  I also loved the Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream last month, which was another Glossybox sample.  It isn't as rich or greasy as other eye creams yet still hydrates the skin without making it feel heavy.  I don't know if it brightened or lifted my eye area at all but it certainly felt nice on my skin!

I received the Essence 24h Hand Protection Balm in Apple Cinnamon Punch as a gift from a German subscriber and although it's probably not even the right season anymore, I love the smell of this!!  It's so delicious even Jonathan comments on how yummy it is every night when I put it on before going to bed :)

I received this lipstick from a German follower as well - P2 Pure Color Lipstick in Sunset Boulevard and it was probably my most-worn lipstick last month.  How is it that anytime I find my favourite shade it's always a brand that isn't sold in Ireland?!  Argh!!  Anyhow, this is a perfect dupe for FYF's Coy (my wedding lipstick).  It's a very opaque nude pink with a mauve-ish tint.

This is how it looks on my lips!  If you live in Germany or can get your hands on P2 cosmetics I would definitely recommend it!

The other lip product I've been loving lately is Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub.  I have never really been into Lush products if I'm honest but this one has made quite an impression!  If you haven't already guessed, I'm a big fan of all things sweet and sugary whether it's a food item or a beauty product so this is right up my alley!  This smells (and tastes) delicious, like a caramel buttery sugary delight!  Ha ha ha :)  It also leaves your lips feeling wonderfully soft which is a huge plus in these colder months.  I've been using this twice a week along with a moisturising lip balm and it has been keeping my lips flake free.

Here are my two non-beauty favourites for the month: my Red Velvet Yankee Candle (which should really be more of a February fave...oh well!), and these Nescafe Cappuccino Sachets which I've been enjoying at night with a few naughty biscuits!  Usually I drink the decaff version but the petrol station didn't have any last night when I ran out and got a bad craving, ha ha ha!

What were your January Faves?  Did you discover any must-have products last month?

Stay Stylish!
