Get Fit in 2016!

Sorry for the lack of blog posts yesterday but it ended up being a rather hectic day! This was my cosy & simple errands day outfit from when we took Emilia to ballet and went to the post office! I wore my white 7 for All Mankind jeans (they are lovely but kind of a nightmare when it's raining...think getting in & out of cars etc.!),  fluffy grey & Other Stories jumper, grey Bailey Button Uggs, Mango jacket (this is the new leather one I featured in my sales haul!) and Prada handbag. I was going to wear a higher heel boot but decided to opt for comfort instead as it was FREEZING and these are so cosy!

I've been working out 5 days a week lately and I love it. Doing it in the mornings is such an energy booster and kind of gets me set up & ready for the day. I have tried exercising at all different times including evenings and late afternoon but I can safely say that this is the one that works best for me! Sometimes though, you just can't manage it and life gets in the way...so I might have to try & squeeze it in during nap-time and that's okay too! I included my workout routine in my most recent What I Ate Wednesday video if you want to check that out. I do switch it up depending on what Lucy puts together for me (and have changed it since then!) but I always try and include it in the middle of videos to keep you guys updated so you can follow along with me! A workout session generally takes me in or around 20 minutes and I do the same routine three times (with plenty of water in between!). Luckily Jonathan & I have transformed our garage into a home gym with loudspeakers, a mirror, floor mats and various bits of equipment which is amazing! I honestly feel like HIIT (high intensity interval training) has completely changed my outlook on exercise...it keeps my body feeling challenged, I don't get bored of my workouts, it's quick & easy to fit into any busy schedule and best of all it's been proven to raise your metabolism and keep your body burning energy for hours after you work out. I highly recommend it if you're looking to tone up your whole body without any fancy equipment or joining a gym. I know I've said this before but Lucy has a TON of great HIIT videos on her channel and has even put together a wonderful FREE January workout plan for both beginners & intermediate. So now you have no excuses girls ;) You CAN get fit in 2016!

Here's the video I was talking about...what I ate in a day and my workout routine! Hope you enjoy!

  4. Hi :) So If I understand right - this one 20 minutes workout session included three circles of workout? :) Or each circle is for 20 minutes, so the whole session is for hour :) Thank you!

  8. I love this Anna, so motivating. I've been trying to get fit for a while because I know how important it is but some days it feels like such a trial. I always feel frustrated because I don't have enough money to get a membership at my local gym but this post has reminded me that actually, all I need to do is pull out a yoga mat and buy some weights to create my own mini gym anywhere! Thanks for the inspiration :)

  9. Hi Anna, I don't usually post on blogs but I wanted to say how much I enjoy your blogs and videos. Your haul and make over videos are my favourite and I love that your style has developed along with your success.

  10. I find it crazy you guys wear UGG boots outside of the house. In Australia they are worn like slippers around the house and people would be embarrassed to wear them out to the shops. That said you may see them worn at swimming training in the early cold mornings.

  13. I've been following Lucy's monthly workout plans for almost 7 weeks now and I can totally see and feel the difference and I've been eating healthy (and a little bit of chocolate ups can't say no to chocolate). I don't care how much weight I've lost but I look soooo much better than 7 weeks ago. Can't thank Lucy enough and thank you for sharing your workout routines, makes me want to jump up and do a workout days when I feel really unmotivated.

  15. love how you pull off whites in winter. I've always been afraid to wear white pants in winter because of the whole "no white after labor day" rule ...plus the mud and rain.....but maybe i will break out the white pants now :)

  17. I love your outfit, beginning to think I would love a pair of Uggs! They look so cozy.

I love how you're so committed to working out. I really need to get back into it again! Going to buy some new workout gear next week I think to get me in the mood! I need a longer sleeved top as it's Winter! Will only be able to get in 2 workouts a week when my sons at Nursery but it's better than nothing right?

  18. Amazing, Anna! You're becoming so toned as well, and look so healthy - it's fab to see. I love HIIT as well, I love that you can get such a challenging but fun workout done in only 20-30 minutes.

  19. Hi Anna!
Just a quick question regarding the workout routine - when you say it takes 20 minutes which you repeat three times, does that mean you workout for 60 minutes daily? (I'm following Lucy's workouts/yours also so just wanted to know so I can keep up haha) X

  22. I bought some 90-degree yoga pants at TJ Maxx and loved them so much that I came online and ordered some more workout clothing. I have Lululemon pants that don't hold up and are see thru for 10x the price, that can't hold a candle to these!
