Summer Favourites 2018

Here's a fun fact about these outfit photos...originally when we took them (in 30 degree heat!) I had attempted to make this look a little more stylish by adding an off-white shirt and a pair of sandals which are becoming increasingly uncomfortable to wear the further I get into this pregnancy. Literally five seconds after taking the pictures I changed back into flip flops and ripped off the shirt as I was hot, sweaty and everything felt restrictive! When I looked at the photos afterwards I wasn't happy...you could tell just how uncomfortable I felt at the time and it just didn't sit right with me. Jonathan suggested we re-take them in what I was wearing here but I wasn't sure. Number one, there are stretch mark oil stains on my top...number two, flip flops aren't exactly "fashion blogger" material but nothing else fits my swollen feet in this heat! And finally number three, I'm fully aware of how basic this outfit is and I'm not sure it's worthy enough to be blogged...BUT as Jonathan reminded me this is the reality of what I'm wearing at 38 weeks pregnant. And I've only ever wanted my blog to be just that...real. So I'm sorry this isn't high fashion or probably inspirational in anyway but it's what I look like right now and I am too hot and too pregnant to throw on a pair of heels or change just to fit into a certain "look" that I may think is expected of a blogger. And to tell you the truth, these photos came out so much better than the other ones :) Stains, swollen feet and all!

  2. I'm not really sure where that stain is that you're talking about, I can't find it for the life of me!! Just comes to show how overly critical we are of ourselves! You look gorgeous!! xx

  5. Anna. This post most definitely is inspirational because you're teaching us that we should wear what we want and do what we want. It doesn't matter if you are wearing these clothes that you are in the photos, if you want to wear them and you're more comfortable in these clothes then that is all that matters. Especially as you are heavily pregnant you need to be as comfortable as possible. So thank you for being an inspiration and wearing what YOU want. You make me smile Anna and that is why I love you and your family. You look stunning in these photos, I love your style basic or not you look beautiful in everything! Keep doing what you're doing. You're amazing!! Xxx

  7. Perfect! Absolutely perfect. I am all about being real and showing the imperfections in life, but that is what life is and what makes is beautiful! My youngest two kids are the same age as your oldest two (literally a month apart each!) so I have always felt connected to your journeys. I have four too, and though it can be crazy bananas, it is so worth it. I hope this next stage of life is so wonderful for you!

  12. You are such an inspiration to many people Anna! <3 You are by far my favourite Youtuber and blogger as you are the most relatable. I would love to meet you again one day, I had so much I wanted to say to you when I met you on the book tour but I felt too shy (I was the girl with the pink flowers in my hair) thanks for being real and inspirational. Xxx
