Goodbye NYC!

Our New York trip is officially over as we are now back on UK soil. As happy as we are to be home, we were also very sad to say goodbye to NYC. It was my first time visiting the Big Apple and I honestly didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I'm usually not a "big city" type of girl...I find large crowds overwhelming and I've never been one to seek out crazy nightlife or hustle & bustle. I'm quite content in a small town with a few boutique shops or an upscale shopping mall. So the idea of the "city that never sleeps" never really appealed to me. However I was pleasantly surprised to find that New York is one of those cities that really has something for everyone. I fell in love with the shopping, the autumn weather, the people, atmosphere and Central Park (where this family photo was taken!) completely stole my heart.

After a long day of travelling and a 6 1/2 hour plane journey, I'm feeling pretty delirious and have no idea what day or time it is anymore...but what I can tell you is that I will miss New York and wish we could have stayed a bit longer! I also left my little sister Emma there, whom I love & miss very much! Until next time, NYC :) But in the meantime...I think I need to catch up on some sleep!

  14. I completely agree with you Anna. I have never been a big city kind of gal but after I moved here a year ago I have actually learned to appreciate it. The city does have something for everyone, and for a hiking enthusiast like myself the nature is not too far away either.
Also, can I just say that I love Eduardo´s expression here, priceless hehe.
